How To Wear Red This Winter. Colour Blocking.
When thinking of perfect winter colours red is always the go to colour. So when in the recent fashion weeks round the world red was seen on the catwalk again and again in a vast number of designers shows, I couldn’t help but be excited. Red is such a powerful, punchy and bold colour to wear.
So how can we wear red this season? Well I decided to take a tip from the catwalks and go almost for head to toe red. On the catwalks of fendi, Max Mara and a lot of others the models rocked all red everything! I would love to have done the whole works but I have to admit I don’t own a pair of red boots or shoes (yet!). I’d love some bold red OTK boots. Find my black boots HERE

Im suggesting trying out red colour blocking in your winter wardrobe. I find the idea of colour blocking and red very similar – both are very powerful, strong and striking looks. Red is not an overly feminine colour but its not an androgynist colour either so you can really work the red how you want it to be. I opted for a more feminine preppy look with my tennis skirt. I paired it with a very similar toned red jumper which had bows on the sleeves for an additional feminine feel. Find the jumper HERE
What to do for accessories? So I think there are two options when colour blocking your outfit – you can go for another colour in your accessories or you can stick with red again and go all out power image. I wanted to go for a slightly different colour but rather than a bold blue or alternative colour, I chose a light pink to emphasise the feminine look of my outfit. I love the pink and red are taboo colours together but more recently they are being celebrated and worn together.
So with red being such a huge trend throughout Autumn and making its way into winter, try out Red colour blocking in your wardrobe for a striking look.
